Flight to Scotland

Breakfast at Gold Coast Airport prior to the flight.

Might just put this away for later.

Ready to leave.

With Mum & Dad.

Will see Lachlan in November.

Looking out at the monkeys looking in.

In our usual hot seats on Air Asia. Actually this is the end of the flight and on the ground in KL. Ready to get off but no hurry, just 8 hours to fill in until the next flight. Good flight.

Outside the LCCT (low cost crap terminal) at KL heading for our taxi to the international airport.

KLIA departures - that way.

Escalators down to immigration KLIA.
Trying the local cuisine in Kuala Lumpur. Yep, 12 months on and it hasn't changed.

KLIA satellite building where the aerotrain comes in from the terminal building. All departures leave from the satellite building. Only a couple of hundred shops / restaurants to keep you amused prior to leaving.

Centre of the KLIA satellite building.
Found seats, shoes off, only another 6 hours to wait.
Joining the queue at Amsterdam airport for bag drop at EasyJet. By far the worst experience we've had while travelling, stuck in this queue for 1 /2 hours before joining the next queue to get through immigration . Only 3 hours between flights and we had to run to catch the flight. Maybe these guys could learn from Air Asia how to do it properly. Despite being told how good this airport was, we decided Schiphol airport in Amsterdam was by far the worst we've encountered in our travels.
Last bags for collection. Held up at immigration at Edinburgh airport. No record of Louise' biometrics (fingerprints) in the UK system. Finally located and allowed in. Told to take a seat and wait, just like Border Security. Where are the cameras?
Very tired. Not much sleep for the last 30 hours.

Bad flight with EasyJet from Amsterdam. Need a coffee before collecting hire car.
